KEITARO & NARU'S LOVE STORY This is my view on the love story between Naru Narusegawa (成瀬川なる) and Keitaro Urashima (浦島景太郎). :]

When Naru first meets Keitaro, she takes it upon herself to make a quick judgment on Keitaro, based on his unfortunate clumsiness. After he sees her in a towel, she brands him as a pervert, and no matter how many good things he does, she can't get the "pervert" notion out of her brain.

However, her feelings start to turn around after she finds out that he lied about being a student at Toudai, probably because she knows that there's something special about Keitaro. And that's where the spark begins... :]

Naru plays those games that girls like to play so often; she dates Kentaro a few times because Keitaro won't make his move on her. Although he gets extremely jealous of Naru and Kentaro, he still steps aside because her happiness means that much to him. (What a softie, eh? ^^) Keitaro won't ever do anything to intentionally hurt Naru because at the core, he's a very selfless person.

After what seems like a million episodes of Keitaro getting this close to Naru, it finally happens around episode 24. Their much anticipated kiss takes place, though it's triggered by Naru's fear of losing Keitaro to Mutsumi, who seemed to be the promised girl. Fear can bring out some of our most intense emotions, don't you think? Of course, with Keitaro's heart belonging solely to Naru, everything worked out perfectly. Though Naru has a very hard time expressing her emotions to Keitaro, she's able to do it a few times throughout the series.

I do believe that Naru and Keitaro were destined to be together, mainly because no matter what obstacle stood in their way, they were able to overcome it. Their relationship is just one of the cutest, sweetest ones I've ever seen. I'm still totally in love with those two. :]

Although the anime never touched on it, I know that Keitaro and Naru eventually got married (in the manga). So, we know they really were meant to be, right? Hehehe.
